3310 Su Su and Bai Qian – Short Story

Hi everyone,

I recently watched the Chinese drama Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, and still haven’t overcome my obsession with the drama itself.

I thought I would do a short story on Su Su’s / Bai Qian’s thought processes and why she chose to forget everything. This story has incorporated one crucial fact from the book that was not in the drama, and I think it was a huge motivating factor as to why Bai Qian chose to forget everything.

For those of you who have seen the drama, I hope you like this look into Bai Qian’s thought processes.

  1. I love your writing style too!! So full of emotions. I wish Tang Qi included some of these inner thougts of Susu in the novel.

    • Thank you. I feel that we never get to meet the Susu of the drama in the novel, which I felt was a disservice to the character. And the drama itself didn’t really delve into her thoughts, either. I’m happy you liked my attempt at sharing her thoughts.

  2. Hello, this is YeGenMo. I came by and took a quick look and wanted to leave a comment. I didn’t read the whole story because I’m a sponge and don’t want to pick something up and use it unintentionally myself. I just wanted to say from the first few lines I read, your writing is beautiful, warm, and passionate. I have yet to write in 1st person but yours in seamless and smooth. Such a beautiful flow and your descriptions are very vivid.
Plus your blog page looks awesome. I have yet to figure out how to set it up but I’ll figure it out aka ‘google’

    • Thank you for your kind words. This actually was the first time I’ve written in the first person, and it felt very awkward. I’m glad that it didn’t come across that way.

I read the initial draft of your story when you posted it up, but I’m a Ye Hua fan all the way, so read just up the YH happily ever after. You have written some very hot scenes that were quite fun to read. Keep up the good work.
